Hi! Thank you for this weeks episode 💗 can you elaborate by what you mean on the ego being the sovereign spirit/truth? 35min - I think I misunderstand because I don’t see the ego as the sovereign - thank you!!

Hey, thanks for listening! I think the concept of ego has so many interpretations and definitions, and understand that it’s often looked at at as a negative part of us, clinging to a fixed identity/control, and attached to matters of pride. When I look at ego through the lens of Gate 26, I see it as having the potential to be an instrument of influence through our self awareness and sovereignty. The shadow of 26 is pride, which will manipulate truth for their own egoic gain, but the gift is artfulness- when we use that same egoic energy to own our pride without shame and use it as a creative tool. In this way, i think when we are conscious of our ego and recognize its powers of persuasion (and rather than being controlled by that, come from a place of integrity) ego can be used as a form of service, one that recognizes its true power and responsibility we have in influencing the world around us.

For me, the 26-45 polarity speaks to the deep inner wisdom of Sagittarius (which can def come off as egoic) compared to the Gemini type of wisdom that is about gathering and accumulating ideas and resources from those around us. Both are necessary for service and truth, and this full moon illuminates the tension and unity between them!

Thank you so much for this ☺️ I believe I understand more now, especially in seeing the ego as a form of service and influence. I very much connected with this week and last’s episodes, many of the themes have come up - and often in a very literal way- in conversation, in observing nature, in contemplation. Without getting too specific, This latest episode has helped me to understand and put together many of the things that I’ve been contemplating and studying, WHY I’m interested in these things , and especially yesterday and today, as you just put so well, reflecting on the tension and the unity of seeking truth and applying through service.

I very much connected with this week’s episode, it helps me to navigate my internal and external experiences with framework for intentional reflection (often reflections on the themes of my reflections!)

I'm so happy to hear that you're finding resonance with these themes in your lived experiences. That has been the profundity of it for me, too- how zeroing in on the energies of these ancient systems truly helps me focus on what is ripe for the learning at the current moment. Thanks so much for your comment- it made me think deeper about that tension too!
