✨This Week's Vibe: Gathering Together (Jupiter in Cancer & The Sag Full Moon)

Your cosmic energy report for June 9-15, 2025

Hey friends,

This week ahead is another big one in the astro of 2025, with Jupiter entering it’s exalted sign of Cancer on Monday after spending 12 months in it’s detriment in distractable Gemini. Venus just entered her home sign of Taurus last Saturday, so with both Venus and Jupiter entering into signs they feel at home in, the next week, month, and year will have us feeling more connected to the roots that nourish us and sustain us, amist all the froth and fray.

I wrote some horoscopes for Jupiter in Cancer last week, so click through to read how this transit will affect your life personally!

This week also shines bright with the full moon in Sagittarius on Wednesday, opposite the Sun in Gemini as we enter the last Human Design gate of the season of the twins. Jupiter is the planetary ruler of Sagittarius, so with both Jupiter changing signs and the full moon in a Jupiter-ruled sign, we’ll experience mega philosopher-adventurer vibes as we deepen into the heat of Summer vacay here in the Northern Hemisphere.

The sun is transiting through Human Design Gate 45 this week (M-F), known as “Gathering Together” in the I’Ching. This is parallel energy to Jupiter in Cancer, reminding us to lead from a place of community-mindedness, to gather together resources so that they may be equitably distributed to the tribe.

This week, channel the energy of Jupiter/Zeus splashing about in the fertile waters of the crab while shooting an arrow off to the horizon of your dreams- the big picture energy of the week ahead might come as a welcome break from all the buzz and chatter of Gemini season.

This week in the Wheel of the Year:

  • MEDICINE WHEEL Direction: SOUTH

  • WUXING Element: FIRE

  • PAGAN Season: BELTANE (Mayday)

  • ZODIAC Season: GEMINI (May 20-June 20)

    • Saturday & Sunday (June 14-15) thru next week: Gate 12 = Heaven over Earth: “Standstill (Retreat)”, aka the Gate of CAUTION

  • MOON Phase: Full Moon in Sagittarius (Wednesday the 11th, in the HD Gate of the Egoist (Gate 26)

  • PLANETARY dances:

    • Jupiter enters Cancer for the next year (Monday, June 9)

    • Jupiter in CANCER square Saturn in ARIES (Sunday, June 15)

The main event: Jupiter enters Cancer for the next year

Jupiter in Cancer: June 9, 2025 – June 30, 2026

After a fast-paced, scatter-the-seeds kind of year with Jupiter in Gemini, the shift into Cancer feels like settling into a deeper rhythm. Jupiter stays in each sign for about a year, and this year, the great benefic in Cancer is giving slowness, wetness, and more focus on instinct than intellectualism. Jupiter in Cancer doesn’t want to be everywhere at once; it wants to be home. Not just in a physical sense, but home in your body, in your relationships, in your lineage, in whatever spaces help you feel held and whole.

According to the dignities of ancient astrology, Jupiter doesn’t exactly like being in Gemini- Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the fast-moving, chatty messenger planet, while Jupiter represents a slower moving, grander, and more universalized form of knowledge transmission.

But lucky for us, Jupiter is exalted in Cancer. That means Jupiter is at its most generous, wise, and life-giving here, not because it's flashy or grandiose, but because it knows what truly nourishes. This is Jupiter as the wise matriarch, the protective ancestor, the storyteller who remembers the whole arc of the lineage and still chooses to nurture the next generation. With Jupiter in Cancer, it’s not about expansion for the sake of expansion anymore, it’s more about emotional truth, soul-deep safety, and growing what is meant to last.

The past year with Jupiter in Gemini brought a lot of movement, dialogue, ideas, and connections. It was a time of questions, curiosity, and trying things on for size. Many of us stretched our voices, reworked how we communicate, dipped into multiple projects or communities, and maybe found ourselves a little overstimulated or fragmented along the way. Gemini likes options and play and is brilliant at patterns and puzzles. But it doesn’t always know when to land. It’s that buzzy, mutable pollinator air sign, after all.

Now Jupiter is diving into water. Cancer is a cardinal sign, but it initiates through feeling, through care, through sensing what’s ready to grow and what needs protection. So while Jupiter in Gemini might’ve had us saying yes to everything and everyone, Jupiter in Cancer invites us to choose more selectively. To invest where the roots go deep. To commit to what feels emotionally aligned, not just intellectually interesting.

We’re being asked to nourish what actually feeds us, to make more slow-cooked meals instead of grabbing a taco on the go. In the upcoming year, it’s time to build structures and stories that hold our hearts, to remember the wisdom of the body, of the ancestors, of the quiet spaces in between all the doing. This transit could bring a surge of interest in land-based living, family systems (biological or chosen families), emotional healing, and the kind of security that isn’t flashy but is deeply felt.

It’s also a powerful time to reclaim the idea of protection, not as a wall, but as a container. Jupiter in Cancer can help us understand boundaries not as rejection, but as devotion. Who and what are you willing to protect with your time, your attention, your prayers?

This next year could be incredibly fertile for building something real- something emotionally resonant and rooted in care. But it won’t be about going bigger for the sake of it. It’ll be about going deeper. And if the past year has left you a little scattered or ungrounded, this is a beautiful time to come back to what matters most.

Monday-Friday: The Gate of The Gatherer (45)

As Jupiter moves into Cancer, we are invited into a year that expands our relationship with safety, nourishment, and home. This transit softens authority and asks us to lead through care, to build not for domination but for continuity. It invites us to examine how we hold space for others and what we do with the resources we’re entrusted with.

Gate 45 in Human Design, where the sun is traveling from Monday-Friday, also lives at the heart of this inquiry. Since the sun transited into 45 over the weekend, I spoke about Gate 45 (including some personal anecdotes) in last week’s forecast, so this week will be an overview.

Located in the Throat Center, the Gate of the Gatherer is the voice of the tribal king or queen, the one who says, “I have.” But this is not about personal possession. It is about shared resources, communal leadership, and the responsibility of distribution. Gate 45 speaks for the group, manages the storehouse, and understands that true abundance arises not from hoarding but from wisely and equitably sharing.

In the I’Ching, Hexagram 45 is called “Gathering Together (Alliance)”, and is about collective force, shared vision, and spiritual gravity. In ancient China, this was the hexagram of gathering the clan under a single purpose, usually through ritual. It emphasizes the power of sacred assembly, people coming together to share intention and trust. When a group of people cooperate, their power and creativity is multiplied.

‘Lake higher than the earth. Gathering together.
Noble one sets aside weapons and tools,
And warns against the unexpected.’

The trigrams Lake over Earth evoke the image of a reservoir of irrigation, a place where many streams have converged to provide a great resource of water for the community.

The traditional I Ching also warns: the one who gathers must be humble, must consult others, and must not confuse leadership with specialness. The group only thrives when it gathers around a deeper truth, not just a louder voice.

Gate 45 is deeply tribal and materially attuned. It governs physical wealth and also the distribution of influence, space, food, voice and other resources. It is the gate of rulership, known as the Gate of the Queen, but in its highest expression it is the gate of true stewardship.

This gate is part of the Channel of the Money Line (Gate 45 to 21), a design for material leadership. This channel, connecting the throat to the heart/will center, is all about supporting your tribe through with material finance and education. People with this channel are pleased when putting money to good use, especially when it benefits their community. Gate 45 requires collaboration, particularly with Gate 21, which is the energy who knows how to manage the resources after they have been gathered. Without this partnership, the ruler can fall into control or excess.

This week, we are collectively encouraged to become sovereign stewards of resources and emotional safety. This isn’t just about money, it’s about who is fed, who is protected, and who gets a seat at the table.

Gene Keys Perspective (Gene Key 45):

Shadow: Dominance
Gift: Synergy
Siddhi: Communion

In the shadow state, Gate 45 expresses as control through Dominance. The belief that leadership means superiority, that power must be consolidated, that safety requires ownership. This is the realm of kings and oligarchs, the gated communities, the corporate monopolies.

But as we move toward the gift of Synergy, this energy evolves into leadership that is all about weaving, inviting, and including. The leader becomes the one who serves the whole, prosperity becomes collective, and no one is left behind. The community thrives because the gatherer ensures there is a sacred redistribution of abundance.

And at the highest frequency, the Siddhi of Communion, Gate 45 reveals its ultimate truth: there is no separation at all. The concept of ownership dissolves, and there is only oneness, the shared collective field. The leader vanishes into the circle, like the myths of the priestess, the mystic monarch, the matriarch who sees through the veil and gives everything away.

Jupiter entering Cancer, the sign of the mother, at the same time as the sun is in Gate 45, the gate of the Queen, helps us access this most generous and communal octave by returning us to what truly nourishes: presence, protection, intimacy, and continuity.

Wednesday: Full moon in Sagittarius in the Gate of the Egoist (26)

The Wednesday, June 11, the Full Moon in Sagittarius arrives with a crack of clarity, illuminating the polarities between truth and persuasion, belonging and control, authentic authority and performative leadership.

This full moon lands on the Sagittarius-Gemini axis, a polarity that encompasses our search for meaning (Sagittarius) against our hunger for information (Gemini). On the axis of knowledge, Gemini collects and Sagittarius synthesizes. Gemini asks questions and Sagittarius seeks truth. Together, they press on the tension between what we know and what we believe.

This lunation is also square the nodal axis, forming a mutable Grand Cross with the South Node in Virgo and North Node in Pisces. When a planet or planets are square the nodes of fate, it represents a turning point or a karmic crossroads between the collective past and the collective future. This full moon challenges Virgo’s addiction to perfection, analysis, self-doubt, and hyper-responsibility. (The Virgo South Node clings to control as a means to prove worth.)

But the Pisces North Node, on the other side of the cross, is more concerned with surrender, faith, imagination, and trust in a bigger rhythm. It dissolves what no longer needs to be micromanaged and reminds us that we are already enough.

With the Moon in Sagittarius squaring both, we are being asked to release outdated versions of truth that were built to control and manage our fear. And with the Sun in Gemini opposite the moon, we must watch this season’s general temptation to spin, distract, socialize, or over-explain our way out of discomfort. Some greater trutth wants to emerge from the quiver of the centaur-archer.

The Full moon’s Human Design Activation:

Moon in Gate 26 – The Egoist, the Trickster, the Tamer of the Beast
Sun in Gate 45 – The Gatherer, the Voice of Authority and Ownership

Sagittarius Gate 26 is a powerful and slippery place for the moon. Known as the Gate of the Egoist but often called the gate of the Trickster, this gate speaks to the power of persuasion. It can twist truth for survival and embellish things to maintain control. But in its highest expression, it becomes the gate of integrity, where we choose to speak from the heart.

Opposite in the sky, the Sun in Gemini Gate 45, which we’ve already spoken about, brings the energy of leadership, distribution, and collective care. Looking at the opposite gates within the opposite signs of a full moon can give a more detailed and nuanced reading of the specific similarities and differences across the circle, and the 45-26 perfectly highlights the axis of knowledge through egoic manipulation vs. communality-mindedness. The tension between both creates the electric feeling of the full moon- which can be overwhelming or beautiful depending on how much you’ve integrated that binary in your system.

The questions to ask yourself this full moon are:

  • What have I been trying to convince others of because I haven’t fully believed it myself?

  • What roles or identities have I worn to earn trust, respect, or security, when I was already whole without them?

Embodied Themes of this Full Moon:

  • Releasing self-serving narratives that were crafted to maintain power, pride, or identity.

  • Reclaiming truth as something felt, not just defended.

  • Letting go of the need to be right or respected, and instead seeking to be real.

  • Facing the parts of ourselves that still manipulate (subtly or overtly) for love, safety, or control.

  • Returning to simplicity, to honesty, to the clarity of inner alignment.

Let this lunation mark a turning point away from accumulation of bits and bytes and toward a deeper, more unified wisdom. Jupiter in Cancer is already guiding us back to emotional truth and authentic leadership, and this Sagittarius full moon helps us leave behind the old sales pitch and return to what is actually ours to hold and share.

This weekend: The Sun moves into the Gate of Caution & Jupiter squares Saturn

As we move into the weekend, a subtle but significant shift unfolds: the Sun enters Gate 12, the Gate of Caution, and Jupiter in Cancer makes a square to Saturn in Aries. This combination brings a moment of pause where we are asked to remember that not all expansion is helpful, and not all momentum is sacred.

Gate 12 in Human Design is often called the Gate of Standstill, but I think it’s more accurate to think of it as the Gate of Refined Expression. After we gathered together with Gate 45 earlier in the week, Gate 12 holds the energy of discernment, encouraging us to wait to speak or act until the emotional clarity arrives. This gate knows that words have weight, and that truth shared prematurely can create harm instead of healing.

As the Sun moves through this gate, the collective field may feel quieter, more cautious, or even heavy with hesitation. It’s good to look at this as a positive thing- knowing that restraint can be an act of care, and the most impactful voice is not always the first one to speak.

Meanwhile on Sunday, Jupiter in Cancer, it’s sign of exaltation and emotional generosity, squares Saturn in Aries, a placement that wants to act, build, and define immediately. This square is not an easy aspect, but it is clarifying. It asks us to weigh what we’re trying to grow against what we’re truly ready to sustain.

Jupiter wants to nourish and expand the emotional field. Saturn responds with: slow down, not yet, not like that. This square between such big players in the sky can feel like running into a wall… but it’s the wall that keeps your vision from collapsing. In line with the Gate of Caution, this transit may show you where your dreams lack structure, where your plans need maturity, and where your leadership needs restraint.

Next week, Jupiter in Cancer also squares Neptune in Aries, blending with the energy of the square to Saturn and turning this timeframe into a kind of mystical crucible. Saturn brings friction between dreams and discipline, and Neptune square Jup adds another dimension, the tension between hope and illusion. Jupiter wants to nourish and expand and Neptune wants to dissolve boundaries entirely, so together, their square can feel like spiritual overwhelm or emotional fog. This transit will definitely heighten our sensitivity, but without grounding, it can lead to overpromising, overextending, or chasing a vision that lacks roots. Saturn might provide the grounding force we need here. With both Saturn and Neptune in the mix, we’re being asked to purify our dreams, not get lost in them or abandon them.

With such potent energies in play this weekend, it is an opportunity to practice patience with purpose. I recommend sitting with your desires long enough to know if they are rooted in truth or reacting to the moment. It’s a good week to trust your gut when it says that timing is everything,
